Luxembourg's media landscape has evolved significantly over the past year, reflecting local market dynamics and broader industry changes.
Media outlets have strengthened their approaches to multilingual output, producing content in Luxembourg's official languages, Luxembourgish, French, German, as well as English to serve the country's diverse population and cross-border audience.
In 2025, Luxembourg's TV, radio, and multimedia market generated USD44.6 million in revenue. The TV market is primarily led by RTL Group, with its channels, RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg and RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg, leading in both viewership and advertising revenue.
Media organisations are developing strategic partnerships with counterparts in neighbouring countries such as Belgium, France and Germany, enabling resource sharing and audience expansion in the greater region.
Looking ahead, Luxembourg is focussing on regulating AI, as as well as large tech companies. The upcoming Data Act, effective from September 2025, will facilitate cloud service provider switching and impose new contractual obligations, effecting various media and technology services.
